The client required an upgrade of their consumer unit to incorporate Type 'A' RCD protection for each & every circuit. In addition, the installation also needed a 100A meter tails isolator and new 25mm csa Meter Tails

So this week we have been working alongside D Electrics in Titchmarsh carrying out an extensive upgrade of a private electrical installation so that it incorporates the latest safety features that would allow us to install a Hypervolt 7.3kWh EV Charger.

Two new Fusebox Consumer Units incorporating individual RCD's with overload protection for each and every circuit. In addition we installed Type 2 Surge Protection which Protects all electronic equipment such as TV's and Computers etc from transient voltage spikes.

We were asked to upgrade the electrical installation of two cottages that have been knocked through and converted into a single dwelling approximately 20 years ago.
The 60A main switch in the picture supplies another distribution board in the 2nd cottage (HAZELDENE NORTH) which has already been upgraded with an RCD protected metal consumer unit.
We replaced three x 3036 rewirable fuse boards and incorporated the circuits into a single, metal fireproof surge protected RCBO consumer unit with double pole main switch and 14 x RCBO's. The next phase of the contract is to replace 7 old storage heaters.
OUR CATCHMENT AREA IS APPROXIMATELY 30 MILES RADIUS OF THRAPSTON.
